Yesterday, Thursday 15th of November 2012 was officially and publicly launched the new Vietnamese search engine. The Sutunam team, in Asia, immediately checked it to study wada.vn in order to improve its clients’ visibility from the first days.
Wada is developed by a local Vietnamese company and is based on the search technology of the Russia group: Ashmanov & Partners
Being indexed in Wada
It’s still too early to be sure about the result and ranking in the Wada directory. However if you have a project and you want to be indexed and give it a try, contact-us!
The first aim of Wada is not to be Google’s competitor but to enhance the user experience for Vietnamese users.
With more than 30 millions of web users and with more than 75% of them using search engines, wada.vn hopes a good future according to M. Thinh Pham, Wada’s CEO.
Moreover, in Vietnam, the use of mobile devices (handled, smartphone, tablets) is also booming and Wada is looking to offer a better mobile user experience.
What will be different?
- no need to insert accent and a better auto-suggestion (faster for mobile users)
- to filter duplicate contents (it’s still a big amount in Vietnam)
- Opera will also use Wada as the main search engine for mobile version of the browser
Such a nice challenge and we are looking forward to seeing, studying and using this new engine with a 30% market target in the next 2/3 years!
